Understory Joins Sting Bioeconomy’s Accelerator

California-based Understory.ai, which develops an AI-powered platform for analyzing and monitoring nature and landscapes, has joined Sting Bioeconomy’s accelerator program. Understory’s platform uses satellite and drone imagery to identify vegetation down to the species level, as well as measure factors such as biomass and vegetation cover.

The goal is to provide organizations and public authorities with precise, measurable data to support decision-making in areas such as nature conservation, land management, and the effective handling of climate-related risks. The information can also be used to monitor and verify carbon credits.

– We’re very pleased to welcome Understory to the accelerator. They have an exciting platform that fills an important role in a rapidly growing field where we need more precise data to make the right decisions. We look forward to being part of their journey going forward, says Victor Isaksen, CEO, Sting Bioeconomy.

– Through Sting Bioeconomy, we gain access to a valuable network, strategic business advice, and the opportunity to introduce our operations to the Swedish market. We look forward to the collaboration, says Ross Davison, CEO, Understory.
