A Successful 10th Edition of A-match

Yesterday, we celebrated the 10th edition of the investor forum, A-match. What a day it was. The event took place at the welcoming Värmlands Museum, where we started with lunch and ended with an evening of networking. Around 200 participants enjoyed 28 pitches from innovative startups and entrepreneurs. There were inspiring panel discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship, investment, and the latest trends in impact research.

Some of the bioeconomy companies that presented their businesses were. Diri, Nature Station, Richter Life Science, Cellofiber, Fernandi, Fibu, GrowGrounds, Happie Camp, Hejmas, Woodtube, Bowter, Melker, and Zigrid.

Marek Hejduk, HEJMAS

HEJMAS has developed a method to produce pulp that drastically reduces carbon emissions, water and chemical usage. Industrial hemp has been grown in collaboration with farmers in Värmland this summer. Read more

GrowGrounds are here to grow nature. The company assist coffee farmers in the conversion of farming into biodiverse agroforestry systems. Through this process coffee plantations capture and store carbon. The captured CO2 is sold to climate partners as carbon credits (CRU), and a big part of the income stream are brought back to the farmers.
