Entrepreneur and co-founder of Greeniron, Edward Murray, has been appointed Chairman of the Board of HEJMAS Agrifibre Technologies. Edward will take up the position in January 2026 and will also play an active role in the company.
HEJMAS, headquartered in Karlstad, Sweden, produces high-quality, sustainable pulp by using fibre-rich crops, such as industrial hemp, instead of trees. Through its patented technology, the company is able to produce premium pulp with significantly lower consumption of water, energy, and chemicals compared to conventional pulp production.
– I am very excited and inspired to take on the role as Chairman of the Board at HEJMAS. I am driven by entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem, and HEJMAS’s technology for pulp production is particularly compelling. It represents a core Swedish industry and will serve as an excellent complement to the forestry sector, strengthening Sweden’s competitiveness on the international stage, says Edward Murray.
– I enjoy working together with Edward Murray. His broad experience and perspective in building and scaling companies is extremely valuable as HEJMAS continues its growth journey, says Marek Hejduk, CEO of HEJMAS Agrifibre Technologies.
